We are currently collecting new toys for this year’s Christmas for Kids. Christmas for Kids has one humble belief –families prefer to provide Christmas for their children rather than receive a hand out. Even if a family has limited income to do so, parents and guardians want to buy gifts for their children around the holidays. Christmas For Kids is a program designed to provide the families in our community the opportunity to shop for their families without overextending their already tight budgets.
Thanks to the generosity of District 2 schools, churches, businesses, and individuals, Christmas For Kids sets up a toy store for the two weeks leading up to Christmas. Families apply through Harvest Family Ministries, and approved families shop for the toys their kids really want for a minimal registration fee. In the process, we are able to provide utility and other financial assistance to clients throughout the year.
